Community radio station City Beat 103.2 FM in Preston has confirmed a deal with a Lancashire motor group to sponsor its breakfast show.
Bowker Motor Group will work with the station’s breakfast show on content and events over Summer 2018 the breakfast crew will be at different locations with their summer breakfast show tour kicking off at Bowker in June.
City Beat 103.2 FM has Preston, South Ribble and Central Lancashire as its primary service area. But the station, that rebranded from Preston FM, in 2015 can also be heard in parts of Ormskirk, Southport, Chorley, Blackpool and Bolton.
For Bowker Motor Group marketing manager Amy Lancaster said: “We enjoy relationships with many media organisations throughout Lancashire. But City Beat fits in perfectly with our aim to support local community organisations too.
“Better still, we listen to City Beat in our offices every day! So we are delighted to be working more closely with them.”
Earlier this year Former Rock FM, Magic, Century and The Bee presenter Rob Charles took over the evening show on City Beat. Rob is also the voice of morning presenter Mike on Peter Kay’s Car Share programme.
City Beat content director LJ said: “Since we rebranded as City Beat FM in 2015 we have worked hard to improve programming standards and deliver the kind of quality radio that we’d all want to listen to.
“But all our work counts for nothing without the support of local listeners and businesses like Bowker Motor Group. We are delighted to be working more closely with one of Lancashire’s best known family businesses.”
